Audio offers enhanced learning on iPods for staff training

The TRAIN operator “One” in London, UK is using iPods to help train staff. New employee orientation at London’s busy Liverpool Street station includes audio training induction to their workplace and their roles within it.

One is planning to continue training new members of their staff in ticketing, customer service, and station operation using MP3 audio on iPods.

This is a great idea on One’s part. Audio learning enables enhanced retention levels since new staff members can work at their own pace and absorb “bite-size modules” of information over short periods of time. As One grows its library of audio MP3 learning and staff training modules, employees will be able to focus on specific topics to close their skill-gaps at their own-pace, avoiding the information overload associated with traditional learning.
