Join an online marketing community - benefit from the exchange of ideas

One way to exchange ideas, get answers to tough questions, meet new people, and share your experience and expertise is to join an online community of marketing professionals. There are many websites that offer online marketing forums, chat rooms, newsletters, and marketing resources but the one we suggest is Marketing Profs. Become a member [membership is free] and take advantage of their know-how exchange. In their know-how exchange, you can ask and answer questions, conduct research, and communicate with marketing professionals, analysts, and professors.

The Marketing Prof’s Forum is based on a points system, where points are distributed by fellow marketers. Here’s how it works:

When you become a registered basic member of Marketing Profs you receive 250 points right away. Then, after you post your first question or response in the Know-how Exchange, you begin receiving five Expert Points every day.

As Marketing Profs states on their website: “The main idea behind the Points is to recognize the members who give the best answers and are the most frequent contributors to the community. You have two scores. One is your Expert Points. This one always increases. It is the one you can use to measure your participation with respect to other members in the community. The other is your Question Points. This number represents how many Points you currently have available for posting questions.”

The advantage of becoming a part of this marketing community is the opportunity to post your most important marketing questions - on any topic. You’ll receive feedback, expertise, and sound advice. Also by signing up as a basic member, you’ll receive Marketing Prof’s weekly newsletter which is often filled with information of value.
