10 FREE ways to boost traffic to your website

1. Create a lens on www.Squidoo.com and promote your website [and/or blog] with hyperlinks.

2. Exchange reciprocal links with relevant and related websites.

3. Start a page on social bookmarking sites such as MySpace.com

4. Post a link to your website on sites that offer free classified ads. Many of these ads expire after a specified period of time but if you stay on top of it - it’s another traffic booster if your ads are relevent to the category(s).

5. Start your own blog using free Blog software such as Word Press or Blogger.

6. Insert Page Titles - Search engines love content that appears in header tags (h1, h2, etc.) yet very few Web sites actually use them.

7. To find out what a search engine spider sees on your site, run a spider simulator on a given page. The simulator will show you what text the spider sees and what links it finds. Use a free simulator by visiting Search Engine Spider Simulator.

8. Manually submit your website to the major search engines.

9. Submit your website to any related business and tourism directories on the Internet.

10. Submit a video about your attraction, sightseeing company to YouTube.com.

Certainly some food for thought here.
I’ll have to take a look at my search engine marketing mix and see how I measure up. Thanks for an excellent article!

Hello there,

A very brief explanation there.
That’s why I left a comment on it, since I don’t quite get it on the spot here.

Hope you can get to me , perhaps to explain it more.

Thanks.

I was searching for some information about the free website traffic promotion software and i am glad that i have found this information! I am sure that your post will help me very much!

Hi, I am happy to find all the valuable marketing techniques you post in one place. Keep updating your blog on different SMO sites as blogs bring a lot of traffic.

I would like to add :
Target one correct keyword and all your efforts will be successful.

Use of other web programs as they tend to lower the rankings of websites.
Minimal use of cells and tables in the design of websites as they also lower the number of keywords indexed on search engines.
