Marketing is a two-way street

Communication is a two way street. Marketing requires active listening and participating in the conversation. As much as marketers want to evalgelize and communicate, it’s also critically important to listen to what your customers are saying about your business. Talk to your customers… ask meaningful questions… and listen.  Open a dialogue with your customers that gets them participating in meaningful ways about your business.

With all the talk about the Social net, and the high growth of social media, the Web is evolving to become a place of dialogues amongst like-minded consumers and communities of user groups.  With that said, the next generation of social networking will be made up of those companies that work together hand-in-hand with consumers to produce and deliver new products and services designed by the ongoing dialogue and interactions with social networks.
