GPS for single language applications and location-based advertising

When speaking about multilingual GPS solutions, we often receive questions regarding single language applications in a variety of vertical markets.

The opportunities for GPS single language applications in the mass-transportation industry includes the delivery of GPS triggered audio, audio/video, and video. This provides operators in the mass transportation industry to provide accurate and consistent messaging while maintaining the integrity of  their branding efforts. From a corporate perspective, a parent company now has the opportunity to maintain high-quality message delivery for existing route information, product offerings or incentives as well as capitalizing on advertising and promotional opportunities with location relevant partners.

[For example, location-based advertising that includes events, activities, venues and attractions, hoteliers, restaurants, and festivals to name a few.]

Single language GPS applications also provide solutions to bilingual challenges created by transporation routes that require drivers to service customers in two languages. GPS Systems can easily deliver the same message [in English and French or a multitude of languages and/or topics] from one GPS trigger. [For example, servicing customers arriving and departing from bus terminals].

This lends itself to significant location-based advertising opportunities traditionally restricted to print media, billboard advertising, and advertising on the exteriors and interiors of buses and coaches.

Unlike traditional print based media, audio can be updated and changed as existing and new promotional opportunities arise. GPS triggered audio for single language delivery is a low-cost alternative that offers a variety of benefits for mass-transportation operators. Reducing customer complaints [for example, customer complaints regarding the delivery of information by drivers] and providing superior customer service results from the delivery of accurate, consistent messaging. The end result is better customer experiences and new revenue opportunities.
