Tap into the worlds greatest thinkings - get TED

Looking for a meaningful diversion to your day? Look no further. At TED, you can tap into the world’s greatest thinkers!

TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from those three worlds.
The annual conference now brings together the world’s most fascinating thinkers and doers, who are challenged to give the talk of their lives (in 18 minutes).

The TED website offers you a diverse selection of categories and speakers with the best talks and performances from TED available to you, for free.

There’s over 200 videos and “videos are released under a Creative Commons license, so they can be freely shared and reposted.”

This is a great website with content that inspires. Tap into the worlds greatest thinkers - get TED. You can also download TED talks to your iPod and take them with you on the road!

havn’t heard of TED before…is it a new website?

TED is not a new website. However, TED relaunched its website on April 16th, 2007 to include “award-winning TEDTalks, video and audio recordings of great presentations from TED Conferences by speakers including Malcolm Gladwell, Jane Goodall, Julia Sweeney, Richard Dawkins, Dan Dennett Bono, Bill Clinton, Jeff Bezos, Stefan Sagmeister, Eve Ensler, Nicholas Negroponte, Peter Gabriel, Al Gore, Tony Robbins, Anna Deavere-Smith, Hans Rosling, Jeff Han and 90+ others”.

It’s got some great presentations!
