Travel and 411 for assistance

Tired of constantly paying for mobile 411 charges while on the road? We’re always getting “travel related” charges for directory assistance appearing on our monthly phone bills. We were happy to discover that Google is offering a 411 directory service that allows you to connect to local businesses for free. You can call into this free service from any phone using Google’s 1-800 number [1-800-Goog-411 or 1-800-466-4411].

When it comes to free directory assistance, you have LOTS of choices. There are definitely differences among them - you may end up with more then one of these in your phone directory. Try them all out and see which one(s) you prefer. You also may want to try them all every so often just to see what’s new! Grin!

I prefer the ones that get me to an operator when the automation doesn’t understand me, and also the ones that don’t restrict me to businesses only - sometimes I need to look up people, too.
