ABQ Trolley Co. owners Jesse Herron and Michael M. Silva, Jr. announce the arrival of Albuquerque’s newest city tour company. ABQ Trolley Co. will begin service on Tuesday, May 5th.
ABQ Trolley Co. brings a much needed city tour service to Albuquerque. Countless metropolitan areas in the United States have some form of city tour while Albuquerque has not had this unique service in nearly a decade. ABQ Trolley Co. was established to provide visitors with an introduction of the must-see sites around Albuquerque.
ABQ Trolley Co. will be offering fully-guided city tours from a completely-custom, uniquely Albuquerque, open-air trolley. The trolley was designed to incorporate elements that are specific to Albuquerque. These include wrought-iron rails with intricate scrollwork; a stucco-texture paint treatment; custom mosaic tile art pieces; and open-air interior.
“Albuquerque can be proud that no other city in the world has a trolley like this. We offer a great introduction to our city from a vehicle that reflects Albuquerque’s uniqueness,” says Herron.
The ABQ Trolley Co. Best of ABQ city tour departs from Historic Old Town at Plaza Don Luis and includes the following highlights:
- Old Town
- Museum Row
- Downtown
- EDo
- Historic Route 66
- Central Avenue
- Nob Hill
- University of New Mexico
- Sports stadiums – University Stadium, The Pit, Isotopes Park
- Historic Barelas
- National Hispanic Cultural Center
- Barelas Rail Yards
- Rio Grande river
- ABQ Biopark
- Tingley Beach
- Albuquerque Country Club Neighborhood
“We provide a very comprehensive tour of Albuquerque; we not only highlight the city’s tourist attractions but also take visitors off the usual tourist path” says Silva.
